Healthy Veggie Burgers
Hello! I know lots of people are dieting right now after the holidays, but hey, who does say no to a burger?! I certainly don’t especially, especially when it is fully plantbased, oganic, nutritious and incredibly delicious! If you are with me, here is my recipe!
Ingredients (2 big patties)
100 g green lentils
50 g fresh green fava beans
200 ml filtered water
1 teaspoon salt
1 onion, finely minced
3 garlic gloves finely minced
2 tablespoon chia seeds
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground coriander
½ teaspoon ground cumin
Salt & Pepper to taste
Oil (only for the baking tray if not silicone)
Method
Preheat your oven at 200°C.
In a pot, put the lentils, fava beans, spices, salt and water and let it cook for 20 minutes. Once this is cooked, mix really well in a big bowl with all remaining ingredients.
Transfer to your cake molds that you would have oiled if not in silicone and let it bake for about a half an hour. Wait for 10 minutes before taking it out of the mold.
You can have the patties with a side of roasted vegetables, sweet potatoes or a delicious winter salad or with buns- I got mine from my local bakery. We also love it with sweet potatoes fries and some leftover ratatouille sauce.
Enjoy!
